Carolina Cooking

The Show:
Learn to create the secret recipes of the best chefs in the Carolinas in thirty minutes or less. Carolina Cooking is a Monday - Friday, half-hour (21:30) syndicated series. Every episode of this culinary treat features a different chef from a famous restaurant in the Carolinas. Carolina Cooking is broadcast around the world in 51 countries to 126.6 million households.

The Twist:
At its core Carolina Cooking is a comedy. When we met funny man Thom Zelenka, we were astounded by his propensity for setting off smoke detectors with food items that were normally nonflammable. Not only could he barely boil water, his incompetence in the kitchen immediately lead to several fires and multiple visits by the local EMS. What do you do with someone who exhibits such a refined culinary ineptitude? Why ... hire him of course! Click on the trailer and meet Thom, the host of Carolina Cooking.

The Wrench

The Show:
“NPR’s Car Talk collides with TLC’s Trading Spaces.”

The Wrench is a 1/2 hour weekly television series. On The Wrench, automotive novices modify and race their own cars. From drag racing to autocross, in each episode different contestants are challenged to a specific race. They have only 8 hours with professional race mechanics and $1000 in parts to trick out their cars. The show climaxes as the contestants put their wrenching and driving skills to the test during the head-to-head race at the end of every episode.

CSS Georgia

The Show:
"
The Wretched Ship that Saved Savannah."

Beneath the murky water of the Savannah river lies a sunken treasure. The Confederate ironclad, described as a “marine monstrosity”, is every inch a homemade warship. Its reputation alone changed the course of the Civil War, forcing the Union to take Georgia by land. Yet this colossal ship could barely float, let alone maneuver. Our hour-long documentary uncovers the ironic layers of success and failure that changed history yet doomed the ship. Join us, as we take you deep into the deadly currents of the Savannah River to see the ship’s wreckage for the first time.

Crash Course

The Show:
The goal of Crash Course is to teach teens the physics behind extreme sports.

By giving teens a practical application that’s fun to participate in, we not only spark an interest in science, but help pry them off the couch. The show has a light hearted mix of slapstick, wit and science. Every episode our host and his camera crew bumble their way through a different extreme sport, explaining the physics that make each sport work. At the end of every show the viewer learns where they can get hands on experience and lessons in the episode’s featured sport.

Climbing Carolina
